3d Art and Design for ages 6 +

Explore the creative world of 3D art and design, developing skills in modelling, texturing and drawing. Learn to turn creative ideas into engaging 3D visuals while building a strong understanding of design and creativity.

Each week there will be a different project for you to explore and develop your skills, please see below for details of the projects.

14th September - Terrariums

Join Richard to create your very own Terrarium! Starting with a jar, you'll be able to choose plants and create your very own mini garden!

21st September - 3D Art/Diorama

In this session, you’ll explore the creative world of 3D art and diorama-making. You’ll experiment with shape, materials, texture, colour, scale and composition. Get creative, have fun, and bring your own little world to life!

28th September - TBC

5th October - Layered Watercolour Painting

During this session you will explore the beauty of building a painting through layers of watercolour. You’ll experiment with colour, transparency, blending and texture, gradually developing depth and detail.

12th and 19th October - Paper Mâché Masks

In the first session, you will begin creating our own Paper Mâché masks using simple materials and plenty of imagination. You’ll explore shape, form and texture as you build the foundation of your mask.

During the second week of this session you will be adding detail of the character you have created which could include facial features, patterns, decoration and surface details.

2nd November - Leaf Garland

In this session, we’ll explore the natural shapes, colours and textures of leaves to create a beautiful decorative garland. You’ll experiment with arranging, layering and combining different leaf designs to make a unique piece of nature-inspired art.

9th and 16th November - Clay Gingerbread House

During these sessions, you will create a charming gingerbread house using clay. You’ll explore shape, texture and structure as you build the main form of your house, adding fun details to give it a unique character. Get creative and enjoy bringing your festive design to life!

23rd November - Polymer Clay Animals

In this session, we’ll use polymer clay to create our own fun and imaginative animals. You’ll explore shaping, moulding and adding details to bring your creature to life, from tiny features and textures to unique colours and expressions.

30th November - TBC

7th December and 14th December - Paper Mâché Penguin

Get creative this winter season in our Paper Mâché Penguin session! Transform an ordinary bottle into a quirky, characterful creature using paper, paint and plenty of imagination. A fun, hands-on activity where everyone can create their own unique seasonal friend to take home.
