Orpheus: A New Musical
Orpheus: First Rehearsal
It’s been an exciting first rehearsal of Orpheus: A New Musical for the Edinburgh Fringe! With the cast in the same room for the first time, we started with some games to get to know one another. A tense game of splat brought out the competitiveness in us all, and with the last two standing, all was at stake in the final moo-off.
Once we had all been introduced with the crucial question, “what colour are you feeling today?”, we got started on our musical. We began learning some of the spectacular original songs (which we can’t wait to share with you soon) and finished by thinking up some fundraising ideas to help us take our show to Edinburgh!
We’re looking forward to our next rehearsal in December, where we can put some movement to our words and see our show start to take shape! If you would like to help with our fundraising, you can come and support us at our bake sale at the Christmas Market on Saturday 29th November from 1-4pm at the studio. We’d love for you to join us!
“This accessible and friendly youth project is led with great enthusiasm. The children enjoy a wide range of activities, from musical theatre to Shakespeare. Our young person has been going for some time now and still enjoys every session.”
