Mixed Ability Science Club for ages 4+
Hands-on Science Club for KS1-3
This is a workshop around a fictional island that encompasses elements of reality. The children will take on the roles of explorers. The workshops revolve around the fictional island, but the events that take place could occur in the real world, and the skills that the children are encouraged to develop and use are essential for resilience and wellbeing within the real world.
They are encouraged to develop interpersonal relationships with the other explorers, and will need to communicate with them. As challenges arise, they will need to think creatively and problem solve, make decisions and recognise their own emotions and the emotions of others. The workshop will not only engage with the primary focus of wellbeing, but also encourage the children to think about the environment and their role in its protection, relating to both eco-literacy and eco-anxiety.
